Nigerian Fast rising Music Act AYANFE is thrilled to announce his new single, “Labalaba” on which he teams up with DJ Latitude and prolific producer Iambeatz.
The Soulful-amapiano track combines Swahili, Yoruba, and English lyrics to tell the story of a guy trying to woo a girl who is playing hard to get, as evidenced by her “Butterfly” behavior which is the title of the Song.
Ayanfe, a recording artist, songwriter infuses the track with his signature style and affluence in multiple languages including SWAHILI and YORUBA.
Ayanfe who recently bagged a recording deal with ALPHA NATION is set to release an EP in the 4th quarter of the year. Prior to now the super talented act has had a great stint with Davido’s music label DMW and featured Mayorkun and Davido on his previous singles.
The wonderkid is also set to commence an African tour by the 2nd quarter of 2023, the tour which is set to commence in East Africa will cover Kenya, Tanzania, andUganda. He is also hoping to garner Collaborations during the tour and align his music ideologies with Music professionals during the tour.
“Labalaba ”meaning BUTTERFLY is sure to be a hit with fans of soulful-amapiano music,especially as the multilingual lyrics add an extra layer of complexity and depth to the track.
Born Fasae Oluwashola Williams, he is popularly known as Ayanfe. He began chasing a career in music whilst in university with a band he formed.
Ayanfe performed at school events and over time became the talk of the school. Ayanfe made the bold decision of pausing his education and chasing his dreams as a musical artist full time which within a short period of time he dropped his first single in 2018 under his former label.
After releasing a series of singles, covers, freestyles and perfecting his craft, luck shined upon Ayanfe in 2019 after releasing a cover to Davido’s RISKY.
He later joined the DMW family under the management of ObamaDMW and signed a record deal with the label in 2020, his career has skyrocketed ever since.
His first single under the DMV label in 2020 ‘Pretend’ topped charts for weeks and with this success Ayanfe Continued to release music with various artists including Mayorkun, Idowest andDavido to name a few before dropping his first EP ‘All That Matters’ in 2021.
Within a year after the release of his first EP, a lot has happened and changed the artist’s life. With the lessons learnt, eye opening experiences and the understanding that life can unveil itself from different perspectives and corners, Ayanfe has come to the realization that what can be sweet in a moment could also turn sour the next.
Turning his pain into art, and under a new label ALPHA NATION, Ayanfe is ready to release to the public his upcoming extended Playlist spearheaded by his Label with the aim of reintroducing the artist in a new light.
