LG Announces 16% Price Cuts Ahead of Valentines

LG Electronics East Africa has announced price cuts of up to 16% across select appliances and electronics to be retailed between 1st February and 28th February ahead of the valentine’s celebration.

 

Working in partnership with its distributor Opalnet and other Electronic Dealers Nationwide, LG revealed that within this period customers will save between Kes 7,000 to Kes 40,000 on select products.

 

Giving his remarks while making the announcement, LG Electronics EA Marketing Manager Changhyun Kim said,

“The move is in line with LGs 2023 strategy that seeks to build accessibility for all not only through customer-centered innovations but also through affordable pricing and making available of our products right at our customer’s doorstep. February is a month of love and we are committed to spreading the same through our appliances hence making life more fun and bearable for our customers”.

Products discounted in the one-month period included Refrigerators, Televisions, Home theaters, XBOOM Soundbars, and dishwashers. Customers purchasing LG Fridge Single door (163L) will save Kes 7,000 hence purchasing which is a 12 percent price drop.

The same percentage drop will apply on the top freezer and side-by-side refrigerator of between 194L to 649L. Customers will save Kes 40,000 on the latter which is a side-by-side refrigerator with a smart Inverter Compressor, Multi Air Flow, and Smart Diagnosis capabilities.

For shoppers seeking to ease their workload in the kitchen, the 14 Place Setting dishwasher with the energy-saving enabler inverter DD and four spray arms (QuadWash) will retail at a 17 percent discount hence enabling them to save up to Kes 20,000.

Other products line up for discounted prices include the 65-inch LG UHD 4K TV with AI ThinQ Slim Design where shoppers can save upto Kes 21,000, the 86-inch LG UHD 4K with a Cinema Screen design which is available to Ugandan shoppers with a UGsh 28,512,106 and the TZsh 18,094,212 for Tanzania shoppers.

 

In addition to the price cuts, Kenyan shoppers who purchase LG refrigerators and washing machines from LG OPALNET branded shops this month stand a chance to win a holiday for two between February 26th and 28th. Shoppers who purchase other home electronics also stand a chance to win shopping vouchers and varied giveaways.

To participate, the shoppers will be required to take a photo with the purchased home appliance or home electronics, and post it on LG’s social media platforms. Images with the most comments and likes will be rewarded with the holiday and gifts. Winners will be announced on February 25th through LG Electronics EA Social platforms.

The discounts will be applied in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and the products can be found across all LG Brandshops and leading electronic outlets. They come at a time when LG seeks to execute its 2023 strategy that features a strong offering of customer-centered innovations to build a better life for all, and care for the environment which is anchored on its 2030 ESG blueprint dubbed better life plan, and its Better Plan blueprint that seeks to build accessibility, and easy use of LG’s products and services by the disabled and elderly.
